A Table of Peace... When Her Ways Are of Peace

"A woman at home brings peace. I think it is as simple as that. A Christian homemaker creates, establishes and radiates peace. Now, if you've just got your sick baby off to sleep, or you're up to your eyes in washing, or you've just had a row with you husband, and you're not feeling particularly peaceful just hear me out. Regardless of bad days and arguments and clutter and burnt dinners we spend our days bringing peace to those we love. If a meal is on the table when our children and husbands return home from school or work then they don't have to worry about going out to eat, or popping into the supermarket on the way home. They know that their routine is to come home and to eat a meal with the family, it's a small thing but it brings relief and peace. If we have budgeted and paid the bills, if we make sure that household spending doesn't exceed our incomes then we have brought financial peace of mind, and anybody who has ever been in debt know what a wonderful thing financial peace really is. If we have done the laundry then our husbands don't have to wash and dry a shirt before they go out in the morning, we all know how horrible it is to be in a rush before you go to work, clean clothes in the wardrobe bring peace....As the outside world becomes increasingly dysfunctional and individualistic homemakers, people who are dedicated to bringing peace, rest, quiet and love to those in their care, are needed more than ever."--Natalie From Isabella in the 21st Century (blog no longer online)
